How do you keep your ideas when it comes to writing a story. Do you keep them in a box?  I am learning when ideas come into my head to just write them down or post them in my notebook on my cell phone. I can go back and look at them from time to time and come up with some ideas.

I wonder how many of you have written a story but is reluctant to get it published? Maybe fear of people not liking it. I decided to write this story at the age of 65 about my life as a young child of 7 years old.

  • My first book "The Box" is about a little girl who lost her mother  (through death) and 2 months later received a Christmas present that gave her hope. I published  my book at Author House and was so excited when it arrived at my house. I learned a lot from doing self publishing. It is hard work, but I was pleased with the outcome.
  •  I had to edit it several times, allow my friends to read it and give input,
  • I had to communicate with my consultant through email or phone.
  •  I had to write down exactly how I wanted each character to look in my book. It was a process that I enjoyed. They sent illustrations through email and I had to opportunity to edit what I liked or disliked. It was great.

 Hello everyone,

I am a writer. I love to write and express myself through my childhood experiences. I have written 2 children books and I am working on my third. I hope that you connect with me and share some of your experiences as a writer.
